London Homeless Collective – London Walk 2026 Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement

By registering for the London Walk 2026 (“Event”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

 

2. Data Protection & Communications

  • Your personal details will be shared with your chosen charity for event administration and fundraising support.
  • Communications may include: Registration completion with third-party providers Training advice and plans Event clothing delivery Fundraising tips and updates Information on how funds are used
  • Data Compliance: We process your data in accordance with UK GDPR and PECR. You have the right to access, amend, or request deletion of your data. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

 

3. Age & Eligibility

  • Participants must be 18+ on the event date or be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
  • Children under 12 cannot participate.

 

4. Registration & Fees

  • A non-refundable registration fee is required to secure your place. This fee cannot count toward your sponsorship pledge.
  • If your chosen charity’s places are full, you may walk for another homeless charity or receive a refund.

 

5. Fundraising Commitment

  • Minimum sponsorship: £200 for 10k £300 for half marathon £400 for marathon (excluding Gift Aid).
  • All funds must be sent to your chosen charity within 4 weeks after the event (by 17 April 2026) unless you choose to donate the minimum fundraising target yourself when you book (instead of seeking sponsorship) in which case we will forward this on your behalf.

 

6. Fundraising Standards

  • You agree to: Fundraise in aid of your chosen charity only. Avoid undue pressure on donors. Follow the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice.
  • Prohibited actions: Using charity logos without permission Incurring costs on behalf of the charity Running raffles or lotteries without prior approval and compliance with the Gambling Act 2005 House-to-house collections (not permitted)

 

7. Cancellation & Sponsorship Handling

  • If you withdraw or the event is cancelled: Inform sponsors promptly. Funds already raised will be retained by the charity unless sponsors request a refund in writing within one month (not applicable for online donations).

 

8. Health & Safety

  • You participate at your own risk and confirm you are fit to do so.
  • If in doubt, seek medical advice before registering.
  • The organiser will conduct a risk assessment and maintain appropriate insurance.
  • You are responsible for your personal belongings.

 

9. Conduct

  • No illegal substances, performance enhancers, or intoxicants allowed.
  • The organiser reserves the right to refuse participation for breaches of this rule.

 

10. Liability

  • Adventure Café is responsible for event organisation and safety.
  • Neither London Homeless Collective nor Adventure Café accepts liability for injury, loss, or damage unless caused by their negligence.

 

11. Photography & Media

  • Photos and videos may be used for promotional purposes by London Homeless Collective and your chosen charity.
  • If you do not wish to appear in media, notify your charity in advance.

 

12. Compliance

This event complies with:

  • UK GDPR & PECR
  • Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice
  • Health & Safety at Work Regulations
  • Gambling Act 2005 (for raffles/lotteries)

 

Administrator: Homeless Link (Charity No. 1089173) acts as the designated administrator for London Homeless Collective.
